SoCo Club Sport's Spring Swing softball tournament took place this past Saturday. They weather outside was a little cold, but the play on the field was hot!
Teams from Sarasota to the Tampa Bay area descended on 17th Street Park, where all teams played a minimum of four games. There was lots of beer consumed and lots of runs scored, and when the dust had settled, Fever and The Law Firm of Carmen R Gillett qualified for the championship game. The teams had tied in their pool play match-up, but in the playoffs a winner had to be determined. Fever took an early lead, and held a 10-4 lead after three innings. Carmen R Gillett poured it on late and walked away with a 22-11 win. After the game teams celebrated with some frosty beers before packing up for the day.
Congrats to The Law Firm of Carmen R Gillett for winning the first ever Spring Swing! Thank you to all teams that participated and made the tournament a success!
